Welponer, Franz, CFA (Director, Head of Wholesale Italy, Ticino, Malta, Greece & Cyprus – Natixis Global AM)

Franz Welponer is the head of Wholesale Distribution at Natixis Global Asset Management for Italy, Ticino, Malta, Greece and Cyprus. He joined the company in 2006 first serving as Investment Director and Institutional Sales with particular focus on the fund selector market. Mr.Welponer began his professional career working for PensPlan Invest SGR, an investment boutique in Northern Italy, first as an analyst and then as a portfolio manager and head of the company’s commingled fund management office. He holds a degree in international economics and business administration from University of Innsbruck in Austria and a specialization in finance and financial markets from University of New Orleans, Louisiana.
