van Overfelt, Wouter (PhD Senior Portfolio Manager – Vontobel AM)

Wouter van Overfelt is Senior Portfolio Manager in the Emerging Markets Bonds team.
Together with the head of Emerging Markets Bonds, Luc D’hooge,he joined Vontobel in 2013 to build up the Emerging Markets Hard Currency franchise. Previously, Luc and Wouter worked together in the fixed-income team of Dexia Asset Management.
Before joining Vontobel Asset Management, Wouter also headed the Business Control of Gaz de France (GDP) Suez Central Portfolio Management unit. Wouter has a PhD in Applied Economics from the University of Antwerp. He has broad experience in fixed-income markets, covering both developed and developing markets as well as investment-grade and high-yield markets.
