Frésard, Dr. Laurent (Professor of Finance – USI)

Laurent Frésard is Professor of Finance at the Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) and holds an SFI Senior Chair. Previously, he was a Professor at HEC Paris and the University of Maryland. He is a regular speaker at leading finance conferences worldwide and his research has been published in top academic journals. His research mainly studies the connections between finance and the real economy. His most recent research focuses on the role of big data for the efficiency of financial markets. He holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Neuchatel
