De Vries-Hippen, Joerg (CIO Equity Europe, Co-Lead Portfolio Manager – Allianz Global Investors GmbH )

Joerg de Vries-Hippen is the CIO Equity Europe, Managing Director and portfolio manager of European Equity Dividend products.  He covers the Swiss Equity Market and has run the Swiss Equity funds since 1995. Joerg joined the Company in 1992. Before joining the European Equity Team in 1994, he worked as Junior Fund Manager for Japanese Equities. Between 1994 and 2001 Joerg was responsible for Italy, Spain and Switzerland, and later on he built our Euroland franchise. From 2003, he took over as the Head of the European Large Caps Team in Frankfurt. He took his current position in 2016. He graduated with a master’s degree in business administration, specialized in banking/financial system and accountancy from the University of Mannheim in 1993. Joerg also holds the DVFA/CIIA designation.
