Novembre 10, 2016 6:06 pmProfessor Buraschi is the Chair in Finance at Imperial College London and the founding partner of Syntagma, a financial research company and family office that trades markets via dynamic multi-strategy risk-premia solutions based on rigorous risk-management discipline.
Professor Buraschi’s research interests are in the fields of Financial Economics, Asset Pricing and Derivatives, and Financial Econometrics. Before joining Imperial College London, Professor Buraschi has taught at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, London Business School, and Columbia University.
He earned his PhD from The University of Chicago specializing in Financial Economics and Econometrics. His research expertise include financial econometrics, development and implementation of quant investment models, and derivative markets. His work has been widely in top journals including The Journal of Finance, The Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Derivatives, European Financial Management and The Journal of Banking and Finance
Professor Buraschi is the recipient of several awards, including the 2013 GARP Award, the 2012 NYSE Euronext Award, the 2010 Inquire Europe Award, and the 1999 WFA Award. He has received a number of Teacher of the Year Awards both at London Business School and Imperial College London
