Brunner, Katja (Senior Legal Counsel – SFAMA)

Katja has substantial legal, regulatory, governance, proceedings and investigation expertise. From 2010 to 2012 she was Head of Proceedings and Legal Counsel of the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) after having served as Legal Counsel for the Legal Service of the Swiss Federal Department of Finance FDF (2004-2010) and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO (2001-2004). During the years 2014 to 2016 Katja worked for a Private Bank as Deputy Head of Law & Regulatory Projects before joining PwC as a Senior Manager for regulatory and compliance matters (2017-2018). She holds an LL.M. of the University of Zurich and is admitted to the bar of the Canton of Geneva.
