Irene Brunner joined Deutsche Bank in 2013 as Head of X-markets Switzerland. Her focus is to further develop the X-markets platform that offers Structured Products to retail and professional investors in Switzerland.
She started her career at the Italian branch office of Invesco in Milan. After a short experience there, she joined the Markets Supervision Department of Borsa Italiana in 2000. There she took part in the regulation and development of the Italian derivatives market as well as other markets organised by Borsa. In 2005 she joined ABN AMRO Bank where she held roles in London and Zurich heading the Public Distribution Equity Derivatives and Investor Products division for Switzerland. After the merger with RBS, she remained in the same position until beginning of 2013 when she joined Deutsche Bank.
She has a degree in International Business Administration with major in Finance from the University of Vienna, Austria and was granted an Eramus scholarship for the Sorbonne in Paris, France.
She is the representative of Deutsche Bank in the Swiss Structured Products Association and Head of the Product Categorisation Committee of EUSIPA.
She is a native Austrian and is fluent in German, English, French and Italian.
