Bégat, Emmanuel (COO – ME Business Solutions)

Emmanuel Bégat is Chief Operating Officer at ME Business Solutions. ME Business Solutions provides resident independent directors and conducting officers to Luxembourg and foreign regulated structures (UCITS/Management Companies, AIF/AIFMs, etc.) as well as Risk Managers and Compliance Officers. ME Business Solutions also provides domiciliation services to non-regulated structures. Emmanuel started his career with Guy Barbier & Associés, the French member firm of Arthur Andersen. In 1993/1994, Emmanuel served as an officer in the French Army, first as a platoon commander and then as an Aide de Camp. In 1994, he joined KPMG in Luxembourg, later taking up the role of Investment Funds Lead Manager, responsible for the technical coordination of investment funds audits. In 2000, Emmanuel joined Banque Colbert (Luxembourg) S.A., a mid-size Fund Administration and Custodian. After having successfully reshaped operations, he developed business across the EMEA region. In 2005, Emmanuel joined the Superfund Group, first as a managing director to the Luxembourg management company, responsible for investment management. From 2006 to 2009, he built marketing and sales in France, starting from scratch. In 2010, Emmanuel launched Ebsylon, a unique marketing advisory focused on finance, plain language and regulations. Emmanuel joined ME Business Solutions in 2013, whilst continuing to run Ebsylon and launching FundGlobam, a cross-border fund distribution specialist. Emmanuel has a unique experience in asset management, from back to front and from front to back, from traditional strategies to the most sophisticated ones. Emmanuel graduated from the Lyon Business School in France. He is Chairman of the ALFI’s Professional Training Committee. He also regularly speaks at conferences on various topics related to asset management and holds directorships in funds and asset managers.
